PORT WASHINGTON, NY – April 21, 2020 – Real estate owner/developer BEB Capital has named Sean Silverbrook to the post of vice president of the firm’s new lending division, announces Lee J. Brodsky, chief executive officer.

In his new position, Mr. Silverbrook, a 13-year veteran of real estate finance, is establishing a bridge lending platform focused on special-situation funding, in part for warehouse/distribution facilities but also encompassing other commercial property types. He reports to BEB Capital chief operating officer Keyvan Ghaytanchi, who is president of the lending division.

Mr. Silverbrook most recently served as director of loan originations for Maxim Capital Group, underwriting the full gamut of commercial real estate financing vehicles, including bridge loans. Prior to holding that post, he was director of investments for Stabilis Capital Management, where his responsibilities included acquisition of debt instruments.

As the owner of his own investment advisory firm for several years following the Great Recession, Mr. Silverbrook specialized in providing strategies to institutional clients on acquiring non-performing loans and maximizing returns on those assets.

“In a relatively short span of time, Sean has amassed a very deep well of experience under different economic conditions,” Mr. Brodsky notes. “His impressive record of success bodes well for our new enterprise.”

“The opportunity to create a new lending platform for a long-established, entrepreneurial owner like BEB Capital is exciting and invigorating,” says Mr. Silverbrook. “The firm is nimble and streamlined in its decision-making, and as owner/developers we thoroughly understand the world that the lending division will be serving.”

Mr. Silverbrook graduated cum laude with a degree in finance from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. He resides with his family in Glen Cove, NY.
